(Washington, D.C.) – Today, U.S. Sen. David Vitter (R-La.) and U.S. Rep. Charles Boustany, Jr., M.D. (R-La.), along with U.S. Sen. Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-La.), U.S. Rep. Cedric Richmond (D-La.), U.S. Rep. Ralph Abraham, M.D. (R-La.), and U.S. Rep. Garret Graves (R-La.), sent a letter to Jeh Johnson, Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), requesting an extended deadline for Louisiana to be in compliance with the requirements of the REAL ID Act of 2005.
